Can You Run a Small Farm for a Year?

You farm 160 acres: grain on most of it, vegetables for local markets and a field of pumpkins. Nearly every dollar goes out between February and August. The money comes in at harvest, at a price you don’t set, after weather you don’t control. Plan the crops, borrow enough to get there, and decide how much risk to carry.

How it plays

  1. Jan–Feb · Winter planning — Plan the season
  2. Mar–May · Planting — Plant and hedge
  3. Jun–Aug · Growing — Get the crop through summer
  4. Sep–Dec · Harvest — Bring it in and sell it

After the debrief, “Keep farming — two more seasons” continues the run with calendar events, new challenges and opportunities that build on what you chose earlier. Every decision page has a live preview that shows what your picks do to the numbers before you lock them in.

What you get at the end

A debrief with your outcome, charts of where the money went, your biggest mistake and roughly what it cost, and a full report you can copy or save as a PDF. Everything runs in your browser: no sign-up, nothing to install.
