A small-business simulation

Can You Run a Production Company?

You run a small video production company: commercials, corporate films, weddings and music videos. Every month, offers come in. You set a price and decide which to take. Bid high and you lose the job; bid low and you win it and lose money. Your crew and gear cost the same whether you’re busy or not. And clients pay late. Some pay 90 days after delivery, and some never pay at all.

How it plays

  1. Month 1 · Opening the doors — Set up the company
  2. Month 2 · The pitch — The big pitch
  3. Month 3 · The crunch — Cash, gear and steady work
  4. Month 4 · The checkpoint — Who you hire and what you chase

After the debrief, “Keep going — to month 12” continues the run with calendar events, new challenges and opportunities that build on what you chose earlier. Every decision page has a live preview that shows what your picks do to the numbers before you lock them in.

What you get at the end

A debrief with your outcome, charts of where the money went, your biggest mistake and roughly what it cost, and a full report you can copy or save as a PDF. Everything runs in your browser: no sign-up, nothing to install.
